He played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats and was part of the team that won the NCAA championship in 2016. Hart was selected as the 30th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz, but his draft rights were traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he played for the majority of his early career. In 2019, he was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. Hart is known for his strong defensive skills and rebounding ability.
